designing the public realm: presentation + discussion of design ideas to improve Monnow Street on the principles of shared space presentation by urban designer Ben Hamilton-Baillie, from a study commissioned by Monmouth Town Council, Monmouthshire County Council + the Welsh Assembly Government.

This group was set up initially to manage the 'shared space' design proposals being prepared by Hamilton-Baillie Associates to improve Monnow Street for pedestrians, cyclists, and all users.

It is then hoped to broaden the agenda to the analysis and improvement of other aspects of how the town centre works: as civic space, as a shopping centre, as a place to visit, live or work in.

Membership of the group is yet to be finalised.
